Bridgo Contact Segments

WhatsApp contact segmentation for messages that matter

Who should hear from you next? The lead who just replied, the VIP who has gone quiet, or the customer who told your AI agent exactly what they need?

Turn customer details and conversation activity into reusable audiences. With Bridgo Segments, you can plan WhatsApp campaigns around the people most relevant to your message.

From contact list to customer context

What is a WhatsApp contact segment?

A contact segment is a saved audience you can reuse across campaigns. Define who belongs using customer attributes and activity, or handpick the contacts yourself. Give that audience a meaningful name, preview its members, and select it when you build a broadcast.

Dynamic segments: let your rules find the audience

Save conditions such as language, VIP label and recent replies. Membership is calculated from current data when the segment is evaluated, so you can reuse your criteria as customer details and activity change.

Try it for: recent enquiries, engaged contacts and customers ready for a re-engagement message.

Static segments: choose your contacts personally

Build a curated audience with the contact picker. Search by name or mobile number, select across pages, and add contacts in batches. Remove one or several members without deleting their contact records, and re-add them when needed.

Try it for: event invitees, a selected client group or a carefully chosen pilot campaign.

Build a more relevant audience

Combine customer details, conversations and engagement

Contact attributes

Segment by language, gender, contact source and creation date. Welcome recently added contacts or tailor a campaign to a particular language and acquisition source.

Labels and groups

Include or exclude contacts using your existing labels and groups. Combine classifications with other conditions to turn a broad category into a focused campaign audience.

Conversation history

Use conversation message count and last communication date to distinguish active conversations from older relationships that may need a fresh introduction.

Inbound and outbound activity

Filter by the last inbound, outbound or overall message date, plus inbound, outbound and total message counts. These reflect recorded activity; outbound counts can include failed attempts and retries.

Reply status

Find contacts with or without a recorded inbound reply using Has replied: Yes or No. Combine reply status with an outbound activity condition to focus on people you have already contacted.

Flexible date and number rules

Choose before, after or on a date; within the last N days; or more than N days ago. Compare counts and days since the last inbound, outbound or overall message. Rolling date windows use elapsed 24-hour days; days-since values use UTC calendar days.

Build precise conditions without writing code

Use the visual rule builder to combine ALL conditions, match ANY alternative, or exclude a condition with NOT. Nest groups for more detailed audiences. Field-specific text, number, date and label/group controls help you choose the right comparison, while readable summaries make your rules easier to review.

Put customer conversations to work

Create audiences from AI-collected customer data

Your Bridgo AI agents can collect customer details during conversations. Segments lets you match that saved data to identify people with a relevant location, preference or requirement.

Choose Is for an exact text match or Contains for a literal text match within a value. Focus on a specific field key, such as location, or leave the key blank to search across collected fields. Filter by stored High, Medium, Low or Any confidence, then combine the result with your other segment rules.

Matching uses saved, non-deleted data from active agents. Confidence reflects the stored AI category; it is not independent verification of the customer's information.

Discover AI-powered audience targeting

Imagine your next local campaign

Who mentioned Jumeirah?

AI collected customer data: Contains "Jumeirah"
Field key: location
Confidence: High

Use the matching saved location details to build an audience for a relevant local offer. No commerce synchronization is needed for this rule.

Preview, organize and reuse your audiences

1. Build and preview

Click Preview members to check a dynamic rule before saving. Review member counts and paged contact details, including language, label, last communication and subscription/block status. Rule edits mark the old preview as out of date until you refresh it.

2. Keep your team organized

Name and describe segments, search the list, and filter by type or status. Prepare a Draft, make it Active for broadcasts, or Archive it for read-only reference. Counts, creator details and update dates help your team find the right audience.

3. Keep track of changes

Changed dynamic rules create a new saved definition version. Static members show membership source and date. Contact permissions govern who can view, create, edit or archive segments, with access scoped to your company and WhatsApp Business Account.

From audience to outreach

Use saved segments in WhatsApp broadcasts

Select Use Segment when creating a broadcast and choose an Active dynamic or static audience. Review matched, eligible and selected counts before moving forward. For scheduled campaigns, decide when the audience should be resolved.

Freeze the audience at submission

Finalize recipients when you submit the broadcast. Later rule or static membership changes do not replace that list. This suits a campaign where you want to preserve the audience selected at planning time.

Recalculate at scheduled execution

Resolve the current Active segment when the scheduled broadcast executes. This suits activity-based campaigns where a new reply or an elapsed date window should affect who is selected. Once finalized, the recipient snapshot is reused for retries.

Understand who can receive your campaign

Segment membership identifies matching contacts. Broadcast eligibility separately checks subscription, blocking, recipient validity, duplicates and applicable limits. Delivery also applies current safety checks, so a frozen audience does not bypass a later unsubscribe or block.

Broadcast details preserve the audience source, segment name and type, evaluated dynamic version, timing information, matched/eligible/selected counts, exclusions and delivery skips. Your team can understand which audience was used even if the segment is later renamed or archived.

Which audience would you build first?

Welcome recent contacts

Combine creation date within the last 7 days with a preferred language. Give new contacts an introduction that fits their audience.

Reconnect with quiet customers

Match a last inbound message more than 30 days ago and a relevant label. Build a thoughtful re-engagement campaign for contacts who previously spoke with you.

Follow up with contacts who have not replied

Combine an outbound message count greater than zero with Has replied: No. This identifies contacts with outbound activity and no recorded inbound reply, rather than replies to a specific campaign.

Invite a selected group

Create a static segment for your chosen event guests or clients. Review the list, add or remove members, then reuse the audience for your invitation broadcast.

Questions about Bridgo Segments

What is the difference between a segment and a label or group?

Labels and groups classify your contacts. A segment is a reusable audience that can combine those classifications with customer details, dates, engagement and AI-collected data. A static segment lets you select members directly.

Do dynamic segments update automatically?

Dynamic membership is recalculated from current data when evaluated. In the editor, you explicitly click Preview members to refresh results. For scheduled broadcasts, Freeze selects recipients at submission, while Recalculate evaluates the segment at scheduled execution.

Can I combine AI-collected data with engagement rules?

Yes. For example, combine a saved location text match with a VIP label and a recent inbound message. AI data rules match literal saved text and can be restricted to a field key and stored confidence category.

Will everyone in my segment receive the broadcast?

No. Matching membership and sending eligibility are separate. Unsubscribed or blocked contacts, invalid or duplicate recipients and applicable limits can reduce the final selection. Delivery checks can also skip recipients after selection.

Does Has replied mean a reply to my latest campaign?

No. It means the contact has recorded inbound message activity. It does not attribute a reply to a specific campaign or prove that an outbound message was delivered or read.

Can a contact entering a segment trigger an automation?

Segments currently provide audiences for contact management and broadcasts. Segment entry/exit workflow triggers are not part of these capabilities.

Where do I start?
